Dr. Gillian Paula is a Florida State–licensed optometrist who provides comprehensive eye care and contact lens services for patients of all ages. A Long Island native and mother of two children, Dr. Paula moved to Miami in 2018 and is now the proud owner of Hagen Eye Care. She has dedicated her career to improving the vision and quality of life for those she treats. Dr. Paula earned her undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. She has extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, refractive conditions, and a wide range of contact lens fittings, including specialty lenses such as scleral lenses. She has worked closely with ophthalmologists and has significant experience in LASIK consultation and post-operative care. Having practiced in New York, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to her work. Dr. Paula is also an active member of the Florida Optometric Association. Outside of patient care, Dr. Paula enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending quality time with her friends and family. |

Dr. James D. Hagen earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry and his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. With more than 40 years of experience, Dr. Hagen is dedicated to helping patients of all ages achieve optimal vision and maintain lifelong eye health through the highest quality of care. He is highly skilled in fitting specialty contact lenses for conditions such as keratoconus and provides treatment for a range of medical eye conditions, including corneal ulcers and conjunctivitis. In his free time, Dr. Hagen enjoys traveling, bicycling, and spending quality time with his family. |
